Women Claims Finger Found in Wendy's Chili

Anna Ayala claims to have found a human finger in her bowl of chili. The chili was purchased at a Wendy's in San Jose, CA. Police from San Jose and Las Vegas got a warrant to search Mrs Ayala's house for evidence.Below is segment of an article about the ongoing story. The story is a serious one, however the way the Associate Press worded the below paragraphs is comical;"It's very important to our company to find out the truth in this incident," said Tom Mueller, Wendy's president and chief operating officer.Wendy's maintains the finger did not enter the food chain in its ingredients. All the employees at the San Jose store were found to have all their fingers, and no suppliers of Wendy's ingredients have reported any hand or finger injuries, the company said.Above is from the article titled; "Cops Raid Home of Fast-Food Finger Finder"Courtesy; Associated PressApril 8, 2005

MoreThanCorn,

It appears the jig is up...see: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/wendy_s_finger for more info. Apparently, the finger belongs to an associate of her husband, who lost the finger at work.

I won't go on on this for too long; the above link tells the whole story. But, once my mom and I were at a restaurant when I was young and she found a bandaid in her baked potato. The bandaid was in a circular loop, as if it had slid off someone's finger. I don't remember the name of the restaurant, but it was one of those chainy steak-house type places (Sizzler, etc?!?) I also don't remember the outcome, probably nothing more than free dinner that night, I cannot remember.
